Positively Addictive!
Just wanted to show off my “Knitting Nubbin”! Santuary fans will know what a Nubbin is. I don’t really know how this little diorama of sorts. I made the mushroom first, with the lid and thought I could keep something in there. Then I made a little creature .. Which was meant to be a bunny .. But no matter how many times I did the pattern this is how it came out!? Anyway I put the punk in the ears and he just came to life .. Then pin heads for eyes .. Yes where there is a will there is a way! Lol, I’m always doing prodjects without the right things so I’m forever making things out of other things! Sometimes it works .. Others don’t.
Ok this chick has some SERIOUS shit to offer. Not only is her blog just a wondrous affair , she is GORGEOUS ( inside & out from what I can tell). I thought the seahorse necklace was the best crocheted item I’d seen then I saw these … Omfg.www.etsy.com/listing/112910521/custom-cat-hood

I don’t re-blog much because I fear I’ll start and never stop .. But this sooooo deserves it. 2 of some of my favourite things. Found objects, especially thT of the sea and crochet .. Oh 3 actually .. And vintage :) Just amazing .. Soooo inspired!!! I have my box of dead or found things I’m going to go through and see what I can do like this. I have seals teeth, crows feet, lots of bird wings,skulls of various animals,dried massive bumble bees,a penguin wing , a mouse skeleton and various spines of things. :) Wow, that sounds terrible .. It’s been collected over a long time. I remember moving once and the movers grabbed the box marked “dead things/fragile” they were like WTF!??? Hahaha .. Then you only had to look at me who at the time had a twin blade Mohawk and make up that went for days, piercing everywhere and shoes like gaga’s. Hehe.Crochet seahorse necklace
My original chain broke, then I hemped it, then that broke, so hopefully this holds up! Seahorses have been popping up a lot for me lately and it reminded me of my pendant that was just sitting idly in a drawer awaiting remodelling. Late night inspiration woohoo!

Omg .. Wow O_O .. Check out the site. You’re SURE to find a pattern you really want , or like me 20!! This girl is really good. I’ve been watching her for about a year. Just amazing to see all the dolls develope & I’m sure quite successful. I just don’t feel I have the confidence to make something like this!!? Crobots yes .. These I’m not sure. Been making PLARN earrings!!
Was in last issue of inside crochet. They worked really well. I will do a detailed review on this pattern. Things have been a bit rough lately but I am NOT giving up on my blog!!
This was my first attempt, I think I know how I can make them look better.
They feel great on & contrast well on skin. So I see a necklace in the not to distant future. :)

I had THE BEST time in Sydney (home) with Mum & Dad :) Met her darling friend Kylie & her even more darling and inspirational Brie!! She is 13 & taught me so much from the short time I met her.
As we said to Kylie “what ever you’re doing there, you’re doing a great job .. What a kid!?” .. She is remarkable.

K, well ill start uploading Christmas presents that were made, and reviews etc once again. Just been doing some house stuff , like new fence in front yard & much needed pruning. Been in the wars a bit too.

Ps/ I’m sure this ‘melting technique’ is online .. From making things in PLARN and then melting them under baking paper & iron. Gimme a yell if want to know more ;)
Hey guys! Just had 10 restoration fillings done in one session yesterday!! Feel better now & my teeth look fab! All ready now if I feel I want to do some singing gigs! Woot!
Oh this is just a little post to say “I’m still here!” Reading all your blogs & such. I’m just having a tough time at the moment. Today has just been horrible .. Then THIS arrived from my amazing Mum.
Oh my goodness!! My hippie astrum opened this morning!! I had no idea of its colour, my other one is blood red.. This is such a happy flower! Hippie’s have been 1 of my favourite flowers ever since I saw one. And as a young hippie myself back then simply the name and the flower embodied everything 60’s to me. Anyway, please enjoy the show from Tasmania where we are just entering summer. Roses are EVERYWBERE and grow very well here … Just so beautiful at the moment.
this is Me today. Lol .. Family putting in LATE orders!! Arrghhh .. Will I get it all done .. No. But oh well. They’ll know next time that at this time of year we are crocheting so much for loved ones that there doesn’t leave time to take more orders! I don’t think I can make what I was going to make for M&D.. MAAAYBE I could fit in these beautiful recycled jars, and I have a pattern for a beautiful shell stitch cover to make them into Christmassy tea light ornaments?! Ill try anyway.… Isn’t this lil guy just the BEST!? Awww I wish I knew more about him & who made him. If anyone knows please be so kind & message me info please, thanks :)
