Oo la la! As I’ve mentioned I’ve fallen in love with attic24’s blog, please visit her blog you can find a link in my earlier blog posts. This chair I found on her site. This belongs in Vogue. It’s just to die for.
SO inspiring.

I’m so obsessed with making hexagons!! But now I’ve realized I should have made the last round of each hexagon the same colour if I want to do a blanket!? O_o .. Or I guess I could go totally rustic and sew together with all the different colours in the hexagons and just make it the maddest blanket you’ve ever seen? ….hmmm
Well I guess I can still put another round on them, they would just be bigger. I could go white, black or pink. Oh dear I don’t know how you amazing crocher’s do it!! But I MUST keep going. I’m not giving up on this one ;)

Fallen in LOVE with hexagons! Oh they are much prettier than granny squares in my opinion, don’t get me wrong though I LOVE them too!! Just this particular pattern/tut from yes attic24’s blog is just the bee’s knees!! So go to her blog and have a read and then down the left side at the bottom are her tutorials. I tell you she has a real talent at writing patterns. And her tut for flat circle using the half treble is just to die for!!! You get the beautiful points all the way round in every round. Makes it look more modern. I used the circle for my birdies (down below) , and with the hexagons, the use of the puff or bobble stitch gives it this sunshine feel. So you can also NOT do the last round and just have the beautiful flower like circles!!
Anyway, I just found her way of doing hexagons much more modern.

I’m at M&D’s for a few days for Christmas & am looking at all my Grandmothers baby blankets she made me. I remember this one so well! It’s very old now of course and needs repair (which ill try) and has felted the flowers and the alpaca edging. But it gives it an amazing look. Brings back such deep happy memories. Anyone who would like to see more up close pics let me know.
